Spring Program 2023
Our 2023 Spring Recreation Program is open to all boys and girls born between 1/1/2004 and 12/31/2019 (regardless if you live in Lawrence or not).

Friday Night Red Bull Training - On Friday nights, our NY Red Bull trainers will be training kids with drills and playing small sided games to evolve their skills. Location is TBD but will most likely take place at Village Park.

Younger than Middle School Aged Boys and Girls
Saturday Games - All games take place on Saturday mornings at the Armory fields off Eggerts Crossing Road or across the street behind Lawrence Intermediate School, beginning in early September through the middle of November. Our focus will be on skill development. Younger age groups will continue to use the "Play Train Play" methodology where they play a 3v3 game, then a training session and followed by another 3v3 game. For our older kids, we will have just games. We need parent/volunteer assistant coaches for ALL ages to help keep things rolling.

Middle School Aged Boys and Girls
We will be teaming up with Hopewell again this season for our middle school aged boys teams for both boys and girls. Games will be played on either Saturday's or Sunday's (still working out the details) this season either in Lawrence or at Hopewell (games in Hopewell are usually on the border of Lawrence).

High School Aged Boys and Girls
We are working to have an opportunity for those in high school to play as well. From a girls perspective, we will be creating a combined team with Hopewell to compete in ICL which plays games against other local towns. These games can be scheduled during the week at night or on the weekend. It all depends on the schedule which comes out the week before the season starts. I am looking at options for the boys as well. This is TBD for now and we can refund you if we do not have a program for the high school aged boys.

This year we will may limit the number of registrations depending on the volume of kids in each age group as well as the number of volunteers. It will be a first come, first serve basis. If you do go to the wait list, do not worry, I will open up more spots, I am just looking to ensure we have balance amongst the age groups.

COST:

The cost for this program will be $100 per player and we have a $10 discount for each sibling registered.

DATES:

Friday Night Red Bull Training starts on Friday April 14th.
Weekend Games start on Saturday April 15th.
No soccer Memorial Day Weekend (Friday May 26th, Saturday May 27)
Last Day is June 10th

EQUIPMENT:

Players are required to wear a shirt, shorts, socks, cleats and shin guards. The registration fee for the fall program includes a team jersey only, you will be required to have your own shorts and socks. Any equipment included in the registration fee will typically be distributed on opening day. You are also requested to bring your own soccer ball. Size 3 balls are used for all players 8 and younger. Size 4 for all players age 9 to 12. The standard size 5 balls are for ages 13 and over.

Our travel teams play in central jersey leagues during the fall and spring, and participate in local tournaments throughout a season. Some teams also train during the off-season with indoor winter leagues.

Being part of LHSA means that you are also part of the Red Bulls Global Soccer system of training and their successful high-level training methods.

Lawrence Hamnett Soccer Association has partnered with the New York Red Bulls to provide elite-level training for all LHSA players. LHSA is proud to be one of the original training partners with the New York Red Bulls (over 16 years now). Our players benefit from the affiliation with the state's best professional soccer team, the New York Red Bulls, and Red Bulls Global Soccer. Not only do the New York Red Bulls have one of the most highly regarded Academy Programs in the United States, but they are also part of Red Bulls Global Soccer with highly successful teams in Germany’s Bundesliga 1st Division (RB Leipzig) and Austria’s Bundesliga 1st Division (FC Red Bull Salzburg) both of whom reached Europe’s prestigious Champions League and Europa League over the past two seasons.

All adults applying for a travel member pass (i.e. travel coach pass) must submit NJYS approved compliance documents in their Sports Connect account for verification (if not previously verified). See the compliance requirements below:

SafeSport Training (Annual Requirement)

All adults applying for a travel member pass (i.e. travel coach pass) must also submit and clear a background check with NJ Youth Soccer.
